For the iPod nano, there are two ways to add music. The first is to use iTunes to add music. Note that not all music apps can transfer music to the nano. Apple does not consider iTunes support for backward compatibility, so you can no longer transfer music from a computer to the nano using iTunes. If you have an old version of iTunes, update it to the latest version. If you want to transfer music from a computer to your nano, use a third-party app, such as mTunes, Overdrive, or others, or transfer the music to an iPod shuffle, iPod touch, or iPad using iTunes.
Add audio books
For the iPod nano, you can add audio books to the nano using iTunes. Before you do, make sure you have the most recent version of iTunes. Books can be purchased from the iTunes store. You can also download books from your computer to your nano by using a third-party app. If you have a book that you no longer want, you can delete it from the nano.
